How to Create an Event on Facebook

Social Networking has become a very vital part of today’s everyday life. Facebook is one of the top used social networking sites available. Facebook can be used to communicate with friends, support specifics causes and even create events. To create an event on Facebook is a very simple and easy process and I will explain how to do so step by step.

Step one: Signing into Facebook

  • Open your preferred browser
  • Click on and highlight your address bar
  • In your address bar type in the URL http://www.facebook.com
  • You should the see this page

  • Then either sign in if you are a member or create an account for free by following the instructions given by the host.

Step Two: Creating the Event

  • When you sign in your page should look like this

  • Look to the left of the page and, in your filter section, click on Event
  • In the upper right hand corner of the page you will see the link to "creat an event", Click on it
  • You then Give your event a Name, Time, Date and Location
  • After stating the basic information yoou have the option of giving a summary of what your event is about in the more info section of your event
  • After creating the event you will want to invite people to attend

Step Three: Sending Invites

  • When creating the event Facebook gives you the option to select guests, so after clicking on the link you, very simply, choose either your friends from facebook or invite people using their email addresses

Step Four: Publishing your Event

  • When you have finished your event click the create link and you should have a page that looks like this [[1]]
